Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Anthony Pettis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Gouken Miyagi!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pettis rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Miyagi moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Pettis moves into the clinch.
Miyagi drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Pettis gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Pettis has Miyagi pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Miyagi manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Pettis pulls guard.
Miyagi working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Pettis's head.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Pettis keeping full guard, as Miyagi tries to pass.
Miyagi is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Miyagi looking to sit in guard and control but Pettis gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Pettis is trying to get back to his feet but Miyagi has full control of the position and if anything, Pettis has just worked his way into a worse spot.

Miyagi looking to break Pettis's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Pettis remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Miyagi will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Pettis tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Miyagi paws at him with a jab and circles away.

so Pettis counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Pettis postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Pettis missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Pettis knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Miyagi on the ground.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Miyagi is on top in guard.

Pettis working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Miyagi doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Miyagi manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Pettis wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Miyagi postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Pettis is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Miyagi, into his guard.

Miyagi wants to stand but Pettis has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Miyagi lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Miyagi is looking to work some ground and pound but Pettis has wrist control.
Pettis trying to keep a closed guard but Miyagi is proving a slippery customer.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Miyagi wants to get up but he can't break Pettis's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Miyagi thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Pettis is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Miyagi defends well.

Miyagi postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Pettis to stand up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Gouken Miyagi will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
