Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Lukasz Rej (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jarno Laasala (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Lukasz Rej has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Lukasz Rej seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Laasala throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Rej has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Laasala finds it's way round the side to connect with Rej's head.
Laasala slaps away a takedown attempt from Rej, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Laasala stuffs the takedown attempt from Rej. Rej gets slowly back to his feet.
Laasala throws a left and a right that both miss

and Rej counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Rej stops Laasala from getting back to his feet.
Rej tries to pass the half guard into mount. Laasala knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Rej is taking a breather. Laasala says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Laasala throws a hook to the side of Rej's head but Rej sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Laasala rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Rej moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Laasala's jab looks to have found its range, popping Rej under the eye.
