Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Renato Marques!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Donatello Bradman and Hugh Johnson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bob shoots in but Marques avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Marques jabs Bob right on the nose. Bob blinks but takes it well.

It looks like Billy Bob has been cut.
Marques lands with a good body shot.
Marques defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Bob.

Bob manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Marques on his heels. He'll look to pass Marques's guard now, I'm sure.
Bob prevents Marques from getting back to his feet.

Bob is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Marques is looking to stand up but Bob isn't so interested in that idea.

Bob drops back, looking for a kneebar! Marques looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Marques looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Marques!
Bob is trying to work for a sweep but Marques has mounted him!

Bob is looking to improve his position but Marques isn't that keen on the idea.
Marques really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bob. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Bob is working hard here to advance position.

Marques is standing up, even though he is in mount.
Marques looks gassed!

Bob feints and as Marques raises his hands in defense, Bob changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Bob pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Marques is keeping the position for now.
Marques can't keep his opponent in guard - Bob advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Bob in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Marques tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Bob!
