Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Mikhali Dimitrov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marta Szarafin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Marta Szarafin was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Marta Szarafin!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Dmitry Maklakov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dimitrov shoots and misses
and Szarafin counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Szarafin should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Szarafin passes into half guard under a barage of strikes.
Dimitrov wants to get back to full guard but Szarafin has mounted him!
Dimitrov is wriggling around trying to escape.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Szarafin cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Dimitrov really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Dimitrov is bucking up trying to escape but Szarafin cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Dimitrov is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Szarafin lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Dimitrov is desperately trying to improve his position but Szarafin has a good base and remains in mount.
Dimitrov holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Szarafin tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Dimitrov tries to get back to half guard but can't.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Szarafin lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Dimitrov hang on?

Szarafin trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Dimitrov doesn't escape.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Szarafin has the hooks in. Dimitrov is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
Dimitrov is breathing heavily.
Szarafin looking for the choke but no joy.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Szarafin lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.
Szarafin is working on the RNC. He looks like he's got it but Dimitrov won't tap... Oh, he's out! The ref rips Szarafin off his unconscious opponent!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:04 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Marta Szarafin!
