Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Marcello Magalhaes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Conrado Headbenze (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Magalhaes comes to the cage accompanied by Last Of The Mohicans Soundtrack. The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Paulo Santos and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Headbenze avoids the body shot from Magalhaes.
No joy there for Magalhaes, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Magalhaes throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Horrible takedown by Headbenze or perhaps it was just good defense by Magalhaes which made him look bad.
Marcello Magalhaes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Magalhaes scores with a nice right hand.
A nice combination there by Magalhaes.
Headbenze is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Magalhaes throws a shot to the body.
Headbenze fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Magalhaes sprawls well initially but Headbenze persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Magalhaes wants to get back to his feet.

Magalhaes trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
Magalhaes is defending against the submission attempts here by Headbenze.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Magalhaes fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Headbenze looks gassed!
Headbenze shoots for a double leg takedown but Magalhaes sprawls well. He's pushed Headbenze's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Magalhaes closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Magalhaes takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Magalhaes tries to stand but can't do so whilst Headbenze controls his leg.
Magalhaes seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Headbenze does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Magalhaes seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Headbenze is looking to improve his position.
Headbenze tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Magalhaes has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
Magalhaes looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Headbenze is wriggling around trying to escape.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Headbenze gets back to half guard.
Headbenze manages to escape and get back to his feet!
Headbenze clinches up with Magalhaes and pushes him back against the cage.
Headbenze jumps guard but Magalhaes stands there with Headbenze around his waist. Headbenze gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Marcello Magalhaes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Conrado Headbenze.

Magalhaes is pressed up against the cage. Headbenze has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Magalhaes down to the mat. Magalhaes avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Headbenze scores a takedown into full mount!
Magalhaes defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Headbenze.
Poor strikes thrown by Headbenze there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Headbenze quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Headbenze but it's paid off an Magalhaes is forced to tap! Nice work by Headbenze.
