The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Block closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Kharitonov's guard.
Block stays in close to Kharitonov's body and controls the position.
Block prevents Kharitonov from getting back to his feet.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Kharitonov has eaten all the pies!
Block slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Kharitonov is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Block is controlling him.

Chop Block has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

Block shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Block showed some decent athleticism there.
Kharitonov pushes Block off looking to stand but Block dives back in and keeps control.
Kharitonov is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Block scores with a couple of nice shots.

Kharitonov has one foot on Block's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Block jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Block avoids a kick to the body.

Block gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Block turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Block manages to end up in side control.

Block has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Kharitonov is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Block yanks on the arm and Kharitonov is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Block.
