Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kiliti Mafi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dolph Lundgren (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Kiliti Mafi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Dolph Lundgren!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Aleksandr Martynov and Igor Prikhodko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lundgren decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Mafi throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Mafi strikes from the bottom but Lundgren uses the opportunity to move to side control.
Lundgren slows the pace down.
Mafi manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Mafi is pressing down on Lundgren's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Lundgren looking to pass the guard.
Mafi lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Lundgren!

Lundgren holds on for dear life, controlling Mafi's posture momentarily.
Lundgren avoids a series of strikes thrown by Mafi.
Mafi prevents Lundgren from getting the reversal.
Lundgren tries to lock up and control but Mafi gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Lundgren is squirming around, avoiding Mafi's attempts to control the action.
Lundgren wants to hold on but Mafi pushes him away.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mafi fails to advance to Lundgren's back.
Lundgren slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.

Mafi wants to control but Lundgren is keeping him busy.
Lundgren desperately trying to maintain half guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Lundgren shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Mafi napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Lundgren is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Mafi will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Mafi is looking for a sweep.
Lundgren in side control, just content to control the action for now.
Mafi tries to get back to half guard but can't.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Mafi wants to control but Lundgren postures up.
Lundgren remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Dolph Lundgren hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Mafi tries to clinch up but Lundgren circles away and keeps his distance.

That's time! Mafi's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Mafi dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Mafi tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Lundgren decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Mafi's guard.

Mafi is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Lundgren controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Mafi wants to control but Lundgren passes easily into half guard.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Lundgren in particular looking to stall.
Lundgren is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Mafi!

Mafi is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Mafi is trying to reverse the position but instead Lundgren has taken his back - oops!

Mafi is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Lundgren.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Lundgren. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Mafi is defending well here and trying to improve his position.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Lundgren is riding his opponent, not letting Mafi buck him off.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mafi trying to control the hands but Lundgren won't let him.

Mafi wants to control his opponent's hands but Lundgren gets his hands free.

Dolph Lundgren showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!



A momentary lapse in concentration from Mafi enables Lundgren to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Mafi manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Mafi is trying to control the position but Lundgren postures up.
Lundgren is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Mafi looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Lundgren passes into side control.
Lundgren happy to just control the position for now.

Mafi is trying to control Lundgren's posture but Lundgren avoids it.
A lull in the action here as Lundgren stalls from top position.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Dolph Lundgren wasn't active enough on the ground.

Lundgren closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Mafi to the mat! Mafi manages to get full guard.

Lundgren engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Mafi is trying to keep Lundgren in close.
Lundgren is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Lundgren trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Lundgren trying to control but Mafi is working from the bottom.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Dolph Lundgren was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Lundgren bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Let's hope that Lundgren has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Mafi is looking to regain half guard here but Lundgren keeps moving and retains side control.

Kiliti Mafi has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

The ref stands the fighters back up. Dolph Lundgren was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Lundgren shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Mafi is trying to defend but Lundgren finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Lundgren is taking a breather. Mafi says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Dolph Lundgren comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Lundgren winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
