PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mikko Helenius (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Funk Jou (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Helenius kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Metallica - Enter Sandman. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Helenius moves into the clinch.
Helenius misses with a body punch.
Jou blocks a body shot from Helenius.
Jou keeps control of Helenius as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Jou breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Helenius throws a head kick but Jou moves out of range.
Helenius misses with a double jab

and Jou holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Jou's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Helenius misses with a kick to the body.
Jou scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.

It looks like Mikko Helenius has been cut.

Jou tries to sprawl but Helenius drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Jou regains full guard. Nicely done.
Helenius will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Jou doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Helenius won't allow Jou to sweep him here.
Jou is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Jou thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Helenius's head.

Jou seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
