The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
White will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
White takes a swing at Carvalho's ribcage but misses.
White loads up on a big right hand but Carvalho slips the punch.
Carvalho punishes White's body with a nice straight punch.
Bob White seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A jab from White finds it's way through Carvalho's defenses.

It looks like Matheus Carvalho has been cut.
White throws a big shot that misses.
White throws a hook but Carvalho blocks it.
White misses with an uppercut. Carvalho saw that one coming.
White misses with a right hand
and Carvalho counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
White throws a series of strikes that have Carvalho backpedaling.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
White throws a lazy body kick
and Carvalho connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
White misses with a two punch combination.
Carvalho ducks down and throws a hook to the body but White moves away.

Carvalho tries to score a power double leg takedown but White sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Carvalho somewhat.

Carvalho takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Carvalho misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from White.

White throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
White throws a jab when Carvalho was well out of range.
White throws a looping overhand right but Carvalho ducks down to avoid it.

White throws a series of punches but Carvalho avoids them all with ease.
White throws out a leg kick but Carvalho moves out of range and White only half commits.
A nice leg kick lands there from White.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Carvalho lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Carvalho.

Carvalho throws a shot from downtown. White moves away and avoids it.
That kick from White tenderised Carvalho's leg. Carvalho is trying to keep his angry face on.
Carvalho takes a jab right on the kisser.
White fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Carvalho manages to avoid it.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
