Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Georges St Pierre!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Steve Smith and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bond shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Bond wants to lay and pray for a moment but St Pierre keeps working.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Bond tries to pass the half guard into mount. St Pierre knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Bond is looking to advance position but St Pierre won't allow it.
Bond uses his free foot to push down on St Pierre's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for St Pierre.

Bond goes for an armbar but he's not got it… St Pierre turns into him and now he's in Bond's guard.

Bond is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bond had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. St Pierre defends it easily.

Bond bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in St Pierre's guard.
Bond is pushing down on St Pierre's leg trying to pass to half guard. St Pierre is fighting to maintain full guard but Bond has managed to sneak the leg through.

Bond looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks St Pierre with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Bond has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Bond is landing with some decent strikes but St Pierre is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Bond has control of St Pierre's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and St Pierre regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Bond is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but St Pierre is surviving well by controlling Bond's body position as best he can.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Bond tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but St Pierre was well out of range. Poor timing from Bond.

Georges St Pierre seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nice takedown defense from St Pierre. No joy for Bond on that attempt.
St Pierre throws a push kick but Bond slaps the foot to one side.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A looping hook to the body misses from Bond. St Pierre does a little dance to reset his feet.

Bond cracks St Pierre with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
