Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Kichiro Takaki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joey Shabadoo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Takaki comes to the cage accompanied by Kagaya, Shu, Takaki - Alexey Rybnikov . Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kichiro Takaki!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Joey Shabadoo!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Roosa Järviläinen and Arvi Lind.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Takaki looks to clinch

and Shabadoo counters with a single leg into guard. Takaki didn't expect that.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Joey Shabadoo dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Shabadoo drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Shabadoo throws an elbow but Takaki slips to the side and avoids it well.

Shabadoo tries to score with some ground and pound. Takaki controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

Shabadoo wants to control but Takaki is keeping him busy.

Shabadoo lands a few punches from side control.
Shabadoo is trying to ground and pound but Takaki uses the momentary lack of control by Shabadoo to regain half guard.

Shabadoo is looking to stall here but Takaki recovers full guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Shabadoo with a nice head shot there.

Shabadoo drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Takaki manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Shabadoo has Takaki in his guard.
Shabadoo controls Takaki momentarily but Takaki frees himself.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Shabadoo has his hands on Takaki's head, controlling the position.
Takaki has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Joey Shabadoo.
Shabadoo tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Takaki paws at him with a jab and circles away.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Takaki throws a leg kick that is checked
and Shabadoo counters with a straight right hand.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Joey Shabadoo showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


A head kick by Takaki misses
and Shabadoo counters with a straight right hand.
Takaki looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Takaki tries to close the distance and clinch but Shabadoo swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Takaki stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Shabadoo.
Shabadoo throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Takaki.

Shabadoo shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Shabadoo was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Shabadoo lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Takaki hang on?

Shabadoo connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Oh Takaki is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Shabadoo lands a heavy shot. That's hurt Takaki! Shabadoo sees the opportunity and turns up the heat - strike after strike land to the defenseless Takaki and the ref dives in to save him! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:04 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Joey Shabadoo!
