Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sawao Kato (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Killa Watts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kato tries to clinch but Watts is having none of it.

Kato decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Kato wants to lay and pray for a moment but Watts keeps working.

Kato is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Watts sees it coming and defends easily.
Kato working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Kato drops back, looking for a kneebar! Watts looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Watts looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Watts!

Watts must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Watts has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Kato to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Watts is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Kato pulls down on the head and he's put Watts to sleep! This one is all over!
