Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ricardinho Rodriguez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Tyson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for Rodriguez with that takedown attempt.
Tyson wants to clinch but Rodriguez slips to the side

and Rodriguez moves into the clinch.
Tyson wants to break the clinch but can't.

Rodriguez is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Tyson can't fight it off and eventually Rodriguez manages to take the fight to the floor. Tyson looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Tyson looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Rodriguez has picked Tyson up and slammed him! Tyson can't keep hold of the triangle and Rodriguez manages to pass to side control!

Rodriguez swings around for an armbar but Tyson sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Rodriguez's guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Tyson is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Rodriguez is trying to hold Tyson in close to prevent damage but Tyson has managed to pass into half guard.
Rodriguez knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Tyson on the ground.

Tyson tries to stand but can't do so whilst Rodriguez controls his leg.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Tyson wants to control but Rodriguez is keeping him busy.

Rodriguez pushes Tyson off looking to stand but Tyson dives back in and keeps control.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Rodriguez wants to get back to full guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Daniel Tyson.

Rodriguez tries to stand but Tyson is controlling his head.
Rodriguez wants to lay and pray for a moment but Tyson keeps working.

Tyson closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Tyson lands in his opponent's guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Tyson accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Rodriguez escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Tyson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
