Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Thomas Wolverine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Antonio Inoki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Inoki throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Wolverine tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Inoki manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

and Wolverine counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Wolverine.
Inoki wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Wolverine thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Wolverine wanted to stand there but Inoki had control of the position.
Inoki really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Wolverine. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Wolverine stands and throws Inoki's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Wolverine tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Wolverine thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Inoki is looking for a sweep.

Wolverine is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Inoki has escaped the position, nice work there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Inoki can't do much from the bottom here.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Inoki can do anything to dispel that myth.
Inoki tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Wolverine wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Wolverine has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Inoki is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Wolverine yanks on the arm and Inoki is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Wolverine.
