PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Adriano Fernandez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brock Lesnar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brock Lesnar told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Illya Tyunina and Dmitry Maklakov.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lesnar closes this distance looking for a takedown but Fernandez circles away.
Lesnar scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Fernandez throws a right and a left that both miss.
Fernandez throws a jab when Lesnar was well out of range.
Lesnar looks for a takedown but Fernandez sprawls well.
Fernandez shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Lesnar but Lesnar pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Lesnar closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Fernandez to the mat! Fernandez manages to get full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Lesnar won't allow Fernandez to get back to his feet.
Lesnar passes Fernandez's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Lesnar is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Fernandez!

Lesnar is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Fernandez has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Fernandez!
Fernandez wants to pass the guard but Lesnar is keeping the position.
Lesnar is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Fernandez wants to control from the top but Lesnar keeps moving.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Lesnar is on top in guard.
Lesnar stands and throws Fernandez's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Lesnar is trying to get an arm triangle but Fernandez is defending well.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.

Lesnar has hold of Fernandez's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Fernandez seems comfortable defending it but Lesnar has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Fernandez is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Fernandez is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Lesnar couldn't care less - he's delighted!
