PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Harri Hippi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Crocodile Dundee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hippi's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Harry Hippy. Crocodile Dundee told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Harri Hippi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Crocodile Dundee!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Wagner Zegers and Patrick Alders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hippi defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Dundee.

Dundee darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Dundee thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Hippi's head.
Hippi tries to roll over but Dundee keeps him under control.
Dundee works his way into full mount!

Dundee has control of Hippi's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Hippi regains control of the situation pretty easily.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Dundee tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Dundee has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Crocodile Dundee dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Dundee got a little sloppy there for a moment and Hippi has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Dundee has managed to get both his arms back between Hippi's legs - danger averted.

Crocodile Dundee showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Crocodile Dundee is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Dundee closes the distance and clinches up with Hippi, looking for a takedown. Dundee pushes Hippi against the cage but Hippi circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Crocodile Dundee comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Dundee winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
