Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Omar Salcedo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kenny Powers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Powers's choice of entrance music: Black Betty. Omar Salcedo is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Stewart Dunkirk and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Salcedo dodges the punch combination from Powers.
Kenny Powers seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Salcedo tries to clinch but Powers moves out of range.
Powers tries to clinch but Salcedo is having none of it.
Powers throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Powers thows a body shot but no joy.
Powers throws a right and a left that both miss.
Salcedo throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Powers's waist but Powers gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Salcedo off to one side.
Salcedo has closed the distance and engaged Powers in a clinch.
Powers tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Salcedo changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Powers fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Salcedo blocks a jab.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Salcedo throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Powers's waist but Powers gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Salcedo off to one side.

Powers misses with a looping right.
Salcedo takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Salcedo could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Salcedo shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Powers as he avoids it easily.
Powers has managed to clinch.

Powers throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Salcedo blocks it with crossed arms.
Powers manages to break the clinch.
Salcedo slips a jab and a cross from Powers.
Powers is looking to clinch but Salcedo is avoiding it.
Powers closes the distance and clinches.
Salcedo fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Salcedo is working for takedown but Powers is calmly controlling the position for now.
Powers slows down the pace here.
Salcedo goes for a takedown attempt but Powers pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Powers tries to clinch up.
Salcedo shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Powers as he avoids it easily.

Salcedo moves into range and clinches up with Powers.
Powers breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Salcedo decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Powers is trying to get back to full guard.
Powers won't allow Salcedo to pass to mount.

Powers is trying to stand.
Powers on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Powers moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Salcedo looking to pass the guard.
Salcedo trying to control but Powers is working from the bottom.

Salcedo postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Powers has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Salcedo off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Salcedo tries to keep at a distance but Powers has taken the fight into the clinch.

Salcedo fails to pull guard.
Salcedo lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Salcedo stops Powers from getting back to his feet.
Powers looks gassed!
Salcedo is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.

Powers looks like he's trying to stand up.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Salcedo connects with a nice short shot to Powers's temple.

Salcedo throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Salcedo has a takedown stuffed.

Powers drops Salcedo with a left right combo! Powers follows him down to the ground into side control.
Salcedo is rocked!
It looks like Omar Salcedo has been cut.
Salcedo gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Salcedo misses with some strikes from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Powers is pressing down on Salcedo's thigh, looking to free his foot. Salcedo is holding on for now.
Salcedo gets back to full guard.
Salcedo looking for a sweep. Not yet Salcedo, not yet.
Salcedo not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Salcedo had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Powers is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Salcedo Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Powers's back instead.
Powers controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Powers is taking damage to the body and head.
Powers takes a big shot to the side of the head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kenny Powers dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Omar Salcedo's cut.

Powers throws a jab when Salcedo was well out of range.
Salcedo misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Powers lands with a right that hurts Salcedo. Salcedo looks to clinch but Powers throws a short knee that drops Salcedo. This one is all over!
