Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Billy Batts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nintendo Takada (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Batts comes to the cage accompanied by Aint That A Kick In The Head. Takada has chosen Super Mario Bros Theme Soundtrack as his entrance music. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Billy Batts!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Nintendo Takada!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Aafke Stam and Paul Aken.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Batts thows a body shot but no joy.
Batts connects with a nice looking jab.
Batts loads up on a big right hand but Takada slips the punch.
Takada scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Takada lands with a good body shot.
Batts misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Horrible takedown by Takada or perhaps it was just good defense by Batts which made him look bad.
Takada slips under a jab.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Takada.
Takada just misses with a punch to the body.
Batts tries to bum rush Takada with a series of wild strikes but Takada uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Takada.
Billy Batts has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nintendo Takada.
Batts leaves Takada with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Takada throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Batts is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Takada.
Takada throws a head kick that half lands.
A telegraphed right hand from Batts misses the target.
Takada thows a body kick. Batts tries to catch it but that hurt him.

Takada gets a takedown into half guard.
Batts is not content to let Takada control the position.
Takada is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Takada is taking a breather. Batts says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Batts is looking to improve his position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Takada cracks Batts with a solid left hand.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Takada throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Batts works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Takada is looking to work some ground and pound but Batts has wrist control.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Takada accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Batts working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Takada.
Batts avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Takada postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Batts is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Takada, into his guard.
Takada is looking to stand up but Batts isn't so interested in that idea.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Takada striking off his back but it's not causing Batts any problems.
Takada wants to sweep here but Batts controlling him for the moment.
Takada looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Takada manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Batts tries to hold on but Takada postures up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Nintendo Takada dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Takada checks the leg kick nicely there.
Nintendo Takada seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Takada misses with an attempted mid kick.
Batts lands a jab to the nose.
Batts leaves Takada with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Takada shoots in for a takedown but Batts shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Batts throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Takada.

Takada decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Takada missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Takada tries to pass to full mount but Batts defends it.
Batts is looking to control Takada's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Batts avoid being mounted?

That's one minute gone in the round.

Takada is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Batts is just riding it out for now. Takada eventually gives up the hold.

Batts is defending against the submission attempts here by Takada.

Takada is trying for a kimura here. Batts looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Takada wins by kimura!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:02 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Nintendo Takada!
