The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Beetlejuice tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Jackson swivels and escapes.
Jackson fails in his attempt to clinch.

Beetlejuice drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Beetlejuice is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Beetlejuice might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Beetlejuice trying to control but Jackson is working from the bottom.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Jackson is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Beetlejuice trying to control the position from guard on top but Jackson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Lester Beetlejuice has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

Beetlejuice circles away from the clinch attempt.
Jackson tries to bum rush Beetlejuice with a series of wild strikes but Beetlejuice uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Beetlejuice closes the distance and clinches up with Jackson, looking for a takedown. Beetlejuice pushes Jackson against the ropes but Jackson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Jackson tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Jackson throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Jackson is looking to clinch but Beetlejuice is avoiding it.
Jackson tries to close the distance and clinch but Beetlejuice swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Jackson doesn't manage to clinch there - Beetlejuice circles away.
Jackson is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

and Beetlejuice counters by clinching up.
Jackson throws a punch but it's blocked by Beetlejuice.
Beetlejuice scores a nice knee to the body.

Beetlejuice gets a trip takedown into half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Beetlejuice trying to control the pace.
Jackson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Beetlejuice. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Jackson is in trouble now - Beetlejuice has advanced to mount!

Beetlejuice is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Jackson is surviving well by controlling Beetlejuice's body position as best he can.

Beetlejuice wants to finish this one by submission but Jackson is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Beetlejuice.

Beetlejuice swings around for an armbar and he's got it! Wow, that came out of nowhere! What a finish!
