Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pillu Mieles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joey Rodinerio Bravo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bravo has chosen Damian Marley - Confrontation as his entrance music. Joey Rodinerio Bravo has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Pillu Mieles!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Joey Rodinerio Bravo !
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, George Francis and Cecil Peabody.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bravo fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Mieles, pushing him back against the cage.
A right handed body shot lands from Mieles.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Bravo .
Mieles tries a body shot but Bravo blocks it.
Mieles gets through Bravo 's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Mieles trying to stall but Bravo improves his position.
Bravo is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Mieles pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Bravo blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
A head punch on the inside from Mieles fails to land.
Mieles tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.

Bravo is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Mieles can't fight it off and eventually Bravo manages to take the fight to the floor. Mieles looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Bravo trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Mieles is wriggling around but Bravo manages to pass to half guard.
Bravo trying to mount his opponent but Mieles defends it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bravo is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Mieles is just riding it out for now. Bravo eventually gives up the hold.

Mieles kicks off Bravo and gets to his feet.

Horrible takedown by Bravo or perhaps it was just good defense by Mieles which made him look bad.
Bravo looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Mieles is fending him off so far but Bravo persists. Nope, Mieles circles away and we're back to standing.
Pillu Mieles has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joey Rodinerio Bravo .
Bravo shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Mieles counters with a nice body shot.
Mieles jabbing away but nothing is landing.

Mieles circles away from the clinch attempt.
Bravo shoots in looking for a takedown but Mieles manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Bravo 's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Mieles lands the left hand.
Mieles throws an overhand right that lands on Bravo 's shoulder, as Bravo tries to avoid the shot.
Bravo misses with a takedown
and Mieles counters with a straight right hand.
Mieles avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Mieles keeps the fight on the outside.

Bravo looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Mieles!

Bravo looking for a guillotine from mount but Mieles is having none of it.
Mieles tries to buck Bravo off but he can't manage it.

Bravo goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Mieles is on top in guard.
Mieles wants to stand but Bravo is controlling his posture from full guard.

Bravo looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Mieles wants to stand and escape but instead Bravo has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Mieles is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Bravo tries to free his leg and advance position but Mieles is retaining full guard.
Bravo pushing down on Mieles's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.

A close round but Joey Rodinerio Bravo will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Mieles tries to keep at a distance but Bravo has taken the fight into the clinch.
Bravo blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
A short right from Mieles on the inside.

Bravo has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Mieles regains guard immediately.
Bravo pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Mieles is keeping the position for now.
Bravo pushes down on Mieles's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Bravo works his foot free and advances to mount.
Mieles tries to buck Bravo off but he can't manage it.

Bravo jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Mieles is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Mieles and Bravo has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Bravo is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Mieles is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Bravo tries for a kimura but Mieles is defending well.
Mieles is trying to escape and get back to his feet.

Bravo swings around for an armbar but Mieles sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Bravo 's guard.
Mieles wants to stand but Bravo has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Mieles decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Bravo shoots in but no luck this time.
Bravo closes the distance but Mieles moves to the side
and Mieles counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Bravo thinking.

Bravo wants to clinch.
Mieles avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Bravo with a poor takedown
and Mieles counters with a straight right hand.
Bravo keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Mieles throws a predictable looking body shot

and Bravo decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Mieles's guard.

Bravo works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Bravo has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Bravo wants to take Mieles's back here but Mieles is holding on to an arm, himself looking to escape.

Bravo goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Mieles turns into him and now he's in Bravo 's guard.
Mieles will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Joey Rodinerio Bravo showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Bravo moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Mieles throws the left hand but Bravo avoids the punch easily.
Bravo tries to close the distance and clinch up but Mieles swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Mieles scores with a punch to the head.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Bravo is defended easily by Mieles.
Bravo shoots in but Mieles avoids the takedown attempt easily.

A quick uppercut on the inside from Mieles.
Mieles is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

Bravo successfully pulls guard.

Mieles decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Joey Rodinerio Bravo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bravo takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Bravo drives through and clinches with Mieles against the cage.
Mieles trying to stall but Bravo improves his position.
Mieles scores with a nice hook to the head.
Mieles misses with a shot to the kidneys.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Mieles creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Bravo turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Mieles wants to get back to his feet but Bravo drags him back down.

Bravo tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Bravo goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Mieles rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Bravo 's guard! Nice work there by Mieles!
Bravo takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Mieles wants to stand but Bravo is controlling his posture from full guard.

Bravo looking to hit a scissor sweep but Mieles is one step ahead there.

Bravo working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Mieles doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Bravo is tightening it up a little... Mieles has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Mieles reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Mieles taps out! nice BJJ there by Bravo !
