Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tally Sedgewick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dick Slocum (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sedgewick closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Sedgewick looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Sedgewick's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Sedgewick wants to control but Slocum is keeping him busy.
Sedgewick wants to pass the guard but Slocum is defending well.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Tally Sedgewick.

Sedgewick shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Sedgewick wants to control from the top but Slocum keeps moving.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sedgewick stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Slocum swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Slocum utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Sedgewick looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Sedgewick is keen to just control but Slocum is a slippery customer.
Sedgewick looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Sedgewick is looking to take a break and control but Slocum is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Sedgewick wants to pass to mount but Slocum is defending the position.

Sedgewick passes to side control.
Sedgewick is chipping away with strikes.

Sedgewick thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Slocum is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Slocum on the wrong end of some ground and pound.

Sedgewick in side control, just content to control the action for now.
Sedgewick wants to lay and pray for a moment but Slocum keeps working.
Sedgewick lands a nice forearm strike.
Slocum wants to control but Sedgewick postures up.
Sedgewick advances to mount.
Slocum is squirming around, avoiding Sedgewick's attempts to control the action.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Sedgewick wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Sedgewick manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Slocum manages to get himself to full guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Sedgewick is pushing down on Slocum's leg trying to pass to half guard. Slocum is fighting to maintain full guard but Sedgewick has managed to sneak the leg through.
Sedgewick is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Slocum wants to improve his position but Sedgewick is controlling well.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Sedgewick is looking for a kimura but Slocum is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Sedgewick to get the leverage.
Still in half guard, Sedgewick seems content to control.
Slocum wants to control but Sedgewick is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Sedgewick is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Slocum is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Slocum flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Sedgewick anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Slocum and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Sedgewick slips an arm under Slocum chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Sedgewick has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Sedgewick is squeezing on Slocum like an anaconda would it's prey. Slocum fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
