Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Albert Einsten (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brett Larson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Albert Einsten!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Brett Larson!
The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Alexandre Firmino and Seu Braga.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Larson tries to clinch but Einsten is having none of it.

Einsten feints and as Larson raises his hands in defense, Einsten changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Larson pulls Einsten in to control the position.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Larson can do anything to dispel that myth.

Einsten stands and steps away. Larson gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Larson wants the takedown. Einsten is fighting it off but Larson persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Einsten's guard against the cage.

and Einsten counters with a nice double leg into side control. Larson won't be happy with that.
Einsten throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.

Einsten decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Einsten stands up and we're back to a striking position.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Larson wants to stand and escape but Einsten is having none of it.

Larson ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Larson no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Larson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Larson moves in looking to clinch but Einsten pushes him off.

Einsten manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Larson on his heels. He'll look to pass Larson's guard now, I'm sure.

Einsten is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Larson's half guard.
Larson keeps control of the position for the meantime.
Einsten is taking a breather. Larson says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Einsten fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Larson to the ground. Einsten is now in Larson's guard.

Larson is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Larson is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Larson tries to close the distance and clinch but Einsten swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Einsten fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Larson avoids it really well and circles away.
Einsten defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Larson.
Albert Einsten has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brett Larson.

Larson clinches up with Einsten and pushes him back against the cage.
Einsten is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Larson pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Larson manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Einsten knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Larson on the ground.
Larson lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Einsten!

Larson dives in and scores a takedown into Einsten's guard.
Larson wants to control from the top but Einsten keeps moving.
Larson wants to get up but he can't break Einsten's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Larson shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Larson was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Larson is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Einsten has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Einsten!
Larson takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Einsten won't allow Larson to get back to his feet.
Larson controls Einsten momentarily but Einsten frees himself.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Einsten takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Brett Larson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Albert Einsten is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Larson tries to lock up and control but Einsten gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

And that's the end of the fight!
Albert Einsten showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Einsten, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
