Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Diego Rivera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Quartz Henkeln (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Viktor Lagutenko and Vladimir Khabensky.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Henkeln misses with a series of wild punches.
Quartz Henkeln seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Henkeln lands with a kick to the ribs.
Henkeln looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Henkeln stuffs the takedown.
Henkeln lands with a nice combination. Rivera backs away looking to recover.

Henkeln tests Rivera's chin there with a solid looking shot.

Henkeln is looking to chop away at Rivera's legs.

Rivera changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Henkeln looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Rivera's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
No joy there for Henkeln, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Rivera shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Rivera showed some decent athleticism there.
Henkeln wants to improve his position but Rivera is controlling well.

Henkeln is looking to improve his position but Rivera isn't that keen on the idea.
Quartz Henkeln has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Rivera, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
