Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Helio Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rick Ross (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ross has chosen Bold and Beautiful as his entrance music. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Gwen Towbar and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie misses with a double jab
and Ross counters with a three punch combo that has Gracie backing up. Gracie nods at Ross to acknowledge the strikes.
Ross lands a slapping body shot.
Ross scoring well with a low kick there.
Gracie takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Ross closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Ross lands with a hook. Gracie tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Ross throws a head kick that half lands.
Gracie doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Ross counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Ross scores with a leg kick.
Ross misses with a head kick.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Gracie doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Ross counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Ross feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Gracie's calf.
Ross scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Gracie swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Ross makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Gracie really felt that one!
Rick Ross is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Gracie is breathing heavily.
Ross thuds his shin into the meat of Gracie's side.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

and Ross counters with a low kick, right behind Gracie 's knee.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Helio Gracie. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Ross connects with a leg kick. Gracie looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Ross lands with a straight right. Gracie didn't see that one coming.
Gracie takes one on the button.
Ross fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Gracie.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Ross scores with a nice body kick.
Ross lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Gracie takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Ross circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Gracie drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Ross follows Gracie to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rick Ross!
