PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Marko Rebic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Owen Silva II (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rebic comes to the cage accompanied by Time 4 Sum Aksion. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Owen Silva II!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Radbod Blank and Wagner Zegers.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva II circles away from the clinch attempt
and Silva II counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Silva II moves into the clinch.

Silva II breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Rebic tries for a takedown but Silva II sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Rebic shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Rebic throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Rebic prevents Silva II from standing back up.

Silva II kicks Rebic off and gets back to his feet.
Nice body punch from Silva II.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Silva II keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Nice takedown defense from Silva II. No joy for Rebic on that attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Marko Rebic. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Silva II wants to clinch up but Rebic keeps it at a distance.
Rebic drops his hands momentarily and Silva II takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Silva II gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Rebic tries to break the clinch but Silva II is controlling the position.
Rebic tries for a takedown. No joy.

Silva II manages to break the clinch.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Silva II!

It looks like Marko Rebic has been cut.
Rebic could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Rebic has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Rebic there as he acknowledges the shot.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Silva II stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Rebic is breathing heavily.
Silva II digs a good hook to Rebic's body.
Silva II swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Rebic takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
It's a brutal combination of punches from Silva II! Rebic is backing up but he can't get away as Silva II lands with one final shot to the jaw that drops Rebic and ends the fight. Great knockout.
