Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jackson Savage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Donnie Darko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Savage's entrance music is Bon Jovi - It's my life. A fine choice. Jackson Savage has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jackson Savage!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Donnie Darko!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Daniel Blasius and Patrick Alders.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Savage throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Darko's head.
Savage thumps Darko with a low kick.
Savage throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Savage shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Darko sprawls well. Darko wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Savage gets slowly back to his feet.
Darko takes a kick to the side of the head.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Darko throws a leg kick that misses.
Savage looks for a takedown but Darko sprawls well.

and Darko counters by moving into the clinch.

Savage is trying to trip Darko. He has hold of a leg but Darko is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Savage persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Savage will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Savage working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Savageis looking to pass into half guard but Darko pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Darko is in guard.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Darko's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Darko postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Savage keeping full guard, as Darko tries to pass.
Darko slips nicely into half guard.
Darko has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Darko pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Savage sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Darko is working for a kimura but Savage is defending it quite comfortably.
Darko is looking to stall here but Savage recovers full guard.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Darko throws and elbow that misses. Savage uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Darko's guard. Nice move by Savage!
Darko avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Darko has his hands on Savage's head, controlling the position.
Darko wants to sweep here but Savage controlling him for the moment.
Savage is pushing down on Darko's leg trying to pass to half guard. Darko is fighting to maintain full guard but Savage has managed to sneak the leg through.

Savage looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Savage is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Darko is just riding it out for now. Savage eventually gives up the hold.

Savage is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Darko still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Darko has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!
Darko misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Darko tries to move to mount but Savage blocks the move with his legs.
Darko postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Savage wants to control but Darko postures up.
Darko grinds an elbow into Savage's temple.
Savage can't do much from the bottom here.
Savage on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Darko throwing strikes but Savage manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!

Savage tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Savage has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Darko gets back to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Jackson Savage will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Savage shoots in but no luck this time.
Savage shoots for a double leg takedown but Darko sprawls well. He's pushed Savage's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Savage will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Darko thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Darko goes for a cartwheel guard pass here but Savage does a handstand and catches Darko in mid air with a triangle! Could it be? It is! It's the triple decker pecker wrecker! The fighters land on the ground with Savage on top - Darko is already out from the submission! Savage gives Darko's pecker the obligatory post submission twist and this one is aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaall over! Are you kidding me! That is world class Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. That guy is my hero!
