Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Solomon Kang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fitzroy Mayers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mayers has chosen The People by STS as his entrance music. Solomon Kang has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Solomon Kang!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Ian Loll and Steve Smith.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mayers takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
An inside leg kick lands from Kang.
Kang lands with an uppercut that bounces Mayers off the cage and back into rage.
An inside leg kick lands from Kang.
Mayers misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Mayers fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kang manages to avoid it.

Kang changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Mayers looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Kang is looking to take a break and control but Mayers is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Mayers wants to control but Kang postures up.
Mayers sneaks back into half guard.
Mayers moves into full guard.

Mayers kicks Kang off and gets to his feet.
Kang lands a jab to the nose.
Kang walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Mayers checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

Kang tries to break free but Mayers pushes him back against the cage.

Kang gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Mayers regains guard.
Kang postures up and lands a big shot to Mayers's brow.

Mayers is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Kang wants to pass the guard but Mayers is keeping the position.
Kang has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Kang is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Mayers is controlling him.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kang trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
Mayers postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Mayers working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Kang's head.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Mayers stops Kang from standing up.

Mayers in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Mayers not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Kang wants to stand but Mayers is controlling the position.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kang can't keep his opponent in guard - Mayers advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Mayers looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Kang with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Mayers prevents Kang from standing back up.
Mayers takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Mayers moves into full mount! Kang won't be happy about that!

Kang fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Mayers is out of range.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Kang enables Mayers to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Kang manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Kang is looking to stand back up but Mayers counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Kang.

He's trying desperately to grab hold of Mayers around the waist but Mayers pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Mayers is the winner by TKO! Mayers jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"
