The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dredd gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Dredd stalks Guymon and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Guymon's face. Guymon staggers backwards, shaken.

It looks like Tito Guymon has been cut.

and Guymon counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Dredd's guard now.
Dredd is trying to control the position but Guymon postures up.

Let's hope that Guymon has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Guymon loads up on a big right hand but Dredd slips the punch.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Dredd enables Guymon to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Dredd manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Guymon is trying to trip Dredd. He has hold of a leg but Dredd is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Guymon persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
