Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Esteban Cambiasso!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Uhan Foikz!
The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Daniel Cesar and Felipe Paraventi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cambiasso with a poor takedown

and Foikz counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Cambiasso!
Foikz looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Poor strikes thrown by Foikz there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Foikz tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Cambiasso is looking to improve his position but Foikz isn't that keen on the idea.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Uhan Foikz was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Foikz closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Cambiasso's guard.

Foikz got a little sloppy there for a moment and Cambiasso has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Foikz has managed to get both his arms back between Cambiasso's legs - danger averted.

Cambiasso escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Foikz gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Cambiasso working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Foikz doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Foikz manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Foikz is looking to stall here but Cambiasso recovers full guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Uhan Foikz showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Cambiasso swings for the body but Foikz moves out of range.

Foikz closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Cambiasso manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.

Foikz takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Cambiasso makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Cambiasso.

Cambiasso looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Cambiasso is working an open guard so Foikz takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Uhan Foikz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Cambiasso wants to clinch up but Foikz keeps it at a distance.

Foikz closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Cambiasso has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Foikz. Oh but Cambiasso has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Foikz goes limp - he's gone! Cambiasso jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
