PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Roman Marecki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Baker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Marecki's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, The Shadows - Apache. The crowd seem to be enjoying Baker's choice of entrance music: Led Zeppelin - Achilles Last Stand. Chris Baker told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Baker manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Marecki on his heels. He'll look to pass Marecki's guard now, I'm sure.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Marecki throws his legs up looking for a submission but Baker uses it to pass to side control.
Baker is looking to take a break and control but Marecki is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Baker connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Marecki some visible discomfort.
