Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jd Almanez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tzu Fxt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Almanez comes to the cage accompanied by Electric Feel by MGMT. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Almanez misses with a looping right.
Fxt tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Almanez swivels and escapes.

Almanez feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Fxts jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Almanez moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

Almanez throws a hook to the side of Fxt's head but Fxt sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Almanez shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Fxt napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Almanez decides to stand back up.
Almanez stuns Fxt with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Almanez closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Fxt takes a knee right on the jaw!
Fxt jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Almanez walks away with a smile on his face. Fxt gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Jd Almanez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tzu Fxt.

Almanez has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Fxt regains guard immediately.

Almanez is nestled in close to Fxt, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Almanez jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Fxt manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Almanez tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Almanez has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Almanez is working to tighten is grip on Fxt's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Fxt has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Almanez is really squeezing tight and eventually Fxt passes out! Almanez breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
