The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Franklyn Lucas and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jiurgite shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Maceachern pinned against the cage. Maceachern gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Jiurgite lands with a cross.
Maceachern throws a right and a left that both miss.
Maceachern takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Jiurgite fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Maceachern has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
No joy there for Maceachern, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Maceachern thows a left - swing and a miss!
Jiurgite lands a really nice looking cross but Maceachern seems unphased.
Maceachern throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Jiurgite throws a body punch but Maceachern moves out of range.
A looping hook to the body misses from Jiurgite. Maceachern does a little dance to reset his feet.

Maceachern tries to keep at a distance but Jiurgite has taken the fight into the clinch.

Maceachern stands up over his opponent, looking to dive in with a big punch. Here he comes, superman style! Oh, the punch misses and Jiurgite has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! Maceachern manages to get his head free but now Jiurgite has transitioned to an armbar! Maceachern grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Jiurgite! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!
