Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Matt Guy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nariaki Kasai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Matt Guy has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Matt Guy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Nariaki Kasai!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A momentary lapse in concentration from Guy enables Kasai to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Guy manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Kasai drops back looking for a leg! Guy is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Guy manages to kick Kasai off! Kasai jumps back into Guy's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kasai decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Kasai.
Kasai closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Kasai lands in his opponent's guard.
Guy lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Kasai!
Kasai avoids a series of strikes thrown by Guy.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Guy lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
It looks like Nariaki Kasai has been cut.
Kasai is trying desperately to improve position.
Guy thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Guy throwing shots from mount but they're not landing.
Guy throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
Guy sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Guy avoids the attempt from Kasai to control.
Guy tries to control but Kasai wriggling away.
Guy punching from mount but Kasai doing a good job of avoiding damage.
Guy throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
Kasai tries to lock up and control but Guy gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Guy trying to control but Kasai is having none of it.

Kasai can't escape the position.
Kasai wants to control but Guy is having none of it.
Guy throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Kasai because Guy loaded up on that one.
Kasai working to try and regain half guard.
Kasai wants to hold on but Guy pushes him away.
Kasai tries to reverse the position but Guy maintains control.
Kasai flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.
Kasai is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Guy misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Kasai really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

Kasai tries to hold on but Guy pushes him away.
Guy unloads with some shots from mount but Kasai bucks and avoids them well.
Guy postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Kasai looks a forlorn figure.
That has opened up Nariaki Kasai's cut even more.
Guy prevents Kasai from getting the reversal.
Guy knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kasai on the ground.
Guy thowing shots but they're missing.
Kasai tries to get back to half guard but can't.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Guy cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Nariaki Kasai's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Nariaki Kasai's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Matt Guy!
