PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vic Watson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zander Cage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Watson kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genuis that is The Darkest Nights. Cage has chosen Korn--Shoots and Ladders as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Vic Watson has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Daniel Cesar and Paulo Santos.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cage stuffs the takedown.
Cage ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Cage tries to land a front kick but Watson steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Watson shoots in looking for a takedown. Cage tries to sprawl out of it but Watson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Cage manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Watson takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Cage rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Watson moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

It looks like Vic Watson has been cut.
Watson shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Cage pinned against the cage. Cage gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Vic Watson. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Cage lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

Cage looks to land a combination but Watson avoids it well.
Oh Watson is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Cage lands an uppercut, right on the button! Watson tumbles backwards into the cage, staring vacantly into space! He's got no idea where he is, who he is or what day it is... Poor guy.
