PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Wayne Parr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Oregano Brandao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Parr has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. On his way into the cage it seems that Wayne Parr has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Wayne Parr seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Parr misses with the combination.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Brandao breaks from the clinch.
Brandao shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Parr sprawls well. Parr wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Brandao gets slowly back to his feet.
Parr throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Brandao decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Parr's guard.
Parr is breathing heavily.

Brandao decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Parr wants to clinch

and Brandao counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

Brandao stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Parr will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Brandao shoots for a takedown but Parr saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Parr closes the distance looking to clinch

and Brandao counters with a takedown into side control.

Brandao decides to stand back up.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Brandao passes Parr's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Brandao stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Parr to get to his feet.

Brandao closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Parr did well to prevent Brandao getting side control.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Brandao is trying for a kimura here. Parr looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Brandao wins by kimura!
