Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Michael Scofield (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Armando Vega (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Scofield comes to the cage accompanied by Ballad of Worms. Michael Scofield has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Michael Scofield!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Armando Vega !
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Yves DeLean and Robert Douchet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vega tests Scofield's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Vega throws a shot from downtown. Scofield moves away and avoids it.
Scofield throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Vega counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Vega scores with a body shot.
Scofield closes the distance and clinches up with Vega , looking for a takedown. Scofield pushes Vega against the cage but Vega circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Vega avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Scofield wants to clinch up but Vega keeps it at a distance.

and Vega counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Vega slaps away a takedown attempt from Scofield, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Vega lands with a hook. Scofield tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Armando Vega seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Vega throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Scofield changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Vega tries to avoid it but Scofield manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Vega to the ground. Vega escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Michael Scofield. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Scofield shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Vega as he avoids it easily.
Vega misses with a body shot.
Vega connects with a nice looking jab.
Vega lands a nice looking body shot.
Scofield ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Vega punishes Scofield's body with a nice straight punch.

Scofield feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Vega is trying to keep Scofield in close.

Scofield drops back looking for a leg! Vega is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Vega manages to kick Scofield off! Scofield jumps back into Vega 's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Vega can't keep his opponent in guard - Scofield advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Vega really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Scofield. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Scofield moves into full mount! Vega won't be happy about that!

Scofield quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Scofield but it's paid off an Vega is forced to tap! Nice work by Scofield.
