Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, James Hudson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Matthias Forsberg!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Tarja Halkonen and Arvi Lind.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Forsberg shoots and misses

and Hudson counters with a single leg into guard. Forsberg didn't expect that.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hudson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Forsberg on the ground.
Forsberg wants to control from the top but Hudson keeps moving.

Forsberg tries to free his leg and advance position but Hudson is retaining full guard.
Forsberg stands and throws Hudson's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Hudson prevents Forsberg from improving position.

Forsberg has knee on belly and moves into mount.

Forsberg wants to control the pace but Hudson is squirming around nicely.

We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Forsberg has eaten all the pies!

Forsberg trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Hudson is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Forsberg takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Hudson avoids a series of strikes thrown by Forsberg.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Forsberg is looking to take a break and control but Hudson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Hudson on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Hudson tries to get out of the position.

Forsberg wants to control the action but instead Hudson gets a body lock and reverses into Forsberg's guard! Nice work!
Hudson postures up in Forsberg's guard and throws a big left but Forsberg blocks it.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Forsberg. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

Hudson drops back, looking for a kneebar! Forsberg looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Forsberg looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Forsberg!

Forsberg is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Forsberg tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Matthias Forsberg showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. And we move into the final round!


Forsberg fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Hudson avoids it really well and circles away.

Hudson throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Forsberg tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Hudson is in Forsberg's guard.
Hudson in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Hudson drops back, looking for a kneebar! Forsberg looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Forsberg looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Forsberg!

Forsberg can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Hudson is looking to escape.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hudson really wants to buck Forsberg off and get back to his feet.
Hudson is desperately trying to improve his position but Forsberg has a good base and remains in mount.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Hudson takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Forsberg wants to control the pace but Hudson is squirming around nicely.
Forsberg throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.

Hudson has left one of his arms exposed and Forsberg doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Hudson screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
