Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dan Gable (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Patrick Willis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Willis has chosen Hometown Hero as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Patrick Willis will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Willis shoots in looking for a takedown. Gable tries to sprawl out of it but Willis keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Gable manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Gable shoots for a takedown but Willis saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Gable closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Willis to the mat! Willis manages to get full guard.

Willis is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Gable shoots for a double leg takedown but Willis sprawls well. He's pushed Gable's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Willis looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Gable is fending him off so far but Willis persists. Nope, Gable circles away and we're back to standing.
