The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Byrne misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Byrne fails to land with a series of punches.
Matthews throws a combination that misses
and Byrne counters with a nice uppercut.
Byrne paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Matthews misses with a series of wild punches.
Byrne misses with a hook. Matthews ducked under it nicely.
Byrne ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
A slow jab from Byrne misses its intended target.

Byrne throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Matthews looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
