The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fogerty thows a body shot but no joy.
Matsumoto misses with a takedown
and Fogerty counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

and Fogerty cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Fogerty lands a body shot.
Matsumoto tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Fogerty paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Fogerty fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

Darren Fogerty has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Charles Matsumoto.
A decent looking cross lands there for Fogerty.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Matsumoto lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Fogerty has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Fogerty and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Matsumoto lands a nice looking kick to the body. Fogerty takes a step back to recover.

Fogerty lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Fogerty.

and Fogerty connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Matsumoto takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Matsumoto is starting to get sloppy and is letting his hands down. Fogerty just took advantage and landed a stinging jab. Oh! And now a right hook, right on the button! Matsumoto has gone limp, and this one is over!
