Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Laguna Highwind (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jesse Mcdonel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Highwind comes to the cage accompanied by The Mars Volta - Inertic Esp. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Robert Douchet and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Highwind dives in and grabs Mcdonel 's left leg, looking for a takedown. Mcdonel pushes down on Highwind's head and hops out.
Highwind blocks a low kick nicely.
Mcdonel throws out a loose jab but Highwind uses good head movement to avoid it.
Highwind shoots for a takedown but Mcdonel saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Highwind fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Laguna Highwind. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Mcdonel moves in looking to clinch but Highwind pushes him off.
Highwind shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Mcdonel pinned against the cage. Mcdonel gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Mcdonel lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Highwind has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Highwind and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Highwind looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Highwind stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mcdonel swivels though and keeps the full guard.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Highwind throws a looping overhand right but Mcdonel ducks down to avoid it.

Laguna Highwind seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
