Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dyron Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dante Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Jones's choice of entrance music: Salvation. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Jones pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Jones showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Gracie.

Gracie walks into a left hand.
Dyron Gracie seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jones misses with a left hand
and Gracie counters with a one-two to the body.
Jones takes a swing at Gracie's ribcage but misses.
Gracie tries to clinch but Jones moves out of range.
Gracie pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Jones back to the cage. Gracie follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Jones throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Gracie will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Gracie throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Jones makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Jones scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Gracie is breathing heavily.

and Jones counters with a nice body shot.

Jones lands a big head kick that sends Gracie tumbling to the mat! Jones takes a step backwards and waves Gracie back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Gracie is rocked!

It looks like Dyron Gracie has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Jones tries a head kick but it misses.
Gracie throws a leg kick but Jones sees it coming and moves out of range.
Gracie closes the distance and clinches up with Jones, looking for a takedown. Gracie pushes Jones against the cage but Jones circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Gracie will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dyron Gracie. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Gracie throws a combination that misses

and Jones counters with a nice right hand that sends Gracie toppling to the canvas! Gracie scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Jones finish him?!
Oh Gracie is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Jones lands with a nice body punch.
Gracie seems to have got his legs back now.

Gracie misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Dante Jones is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Look low, kick high! Jones uses the oldest trick in the book to send Gracie tumbling to the canvas, in a truly brutal knockout! Jones is absolutely delighted - when Gracie wakes up, I doubt he'll be quite so happy!
