Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Barack Bush (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hideyoshi Yamamoto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Yamamoto has chosen Sandstorm as his entrance music. Hideyoshi Yamamoto is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Barack Bush!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hideyoshi Yamamoto!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Shigeki Sano.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bush looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Bush is pressing down on Yamamoto's thigh, looking to free his foot. Yamamoto is holding on for now.
Bush will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Bush is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Bush not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Yamamoto is looking to improve his position.

Bush is working for a kimura but Yamamoto is defending it quite comfortably.
Yamamoto wants to get back to full guard.

Bush tries to pass the half guard into mount. Yamamoto knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Bush wants to stand up but Yamamoto has a hold of him and won't allow it.

Bush stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Yamamoto to get to his feet.

Bush shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Yamamoto manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Bush tries to free his leg and advance position but Yamamoto is retaining full guard.

Bush throws a strike but Yamamoto rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Yamamoto seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Bush is on top in guard.

Bush wants to lay and pray for a moment but Yamamoto keeps working.
Bush wants to stand but Yamamoto has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
Bush frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Yamamoto is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Yamamoto throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Yamamoto misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Bush.
Bush blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Bush tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Bush is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Yamamoto is keeping busy.
Yamamoto is trying to maintain a safe position but Bush gets an underhook and turns Yamamoto into the cage.
Bush really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Bush has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Yamamoto clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Yamamoto is trapped and Bush is scoring with shots to the head and body.
Bush has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Bush somehow managing to miss with a strike from the back.
Yamamoto is covering up but some of the strikes from Bush are getting through and doing damage.

Bush is looking for the choke from the back position but Yamamoto is controlling his hands well.
You can see the frustration on Yamamoto's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Bush throws strikes from the back but Yamamoto rolls nicely and manages to end up in full guard. Nice work by Yamamoto.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Bush postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Yamamoto is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Bush, into his guard.

Barack Bush overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Yamamoto avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Bush is trying to control the position but Yamamoto postures up.

Bush keeping moving, preventing Yamamoto from controlling successfully.
Bush wants to get back to his feet but Yamamoto is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Yamamoto won't allow Bush to sweep him here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Bush uses the cage to get back to his feet.

Yamamoto dives in and grabs Bush's left leg, looking for a takedown. Bush pushes down on Yamamoto's head and hops out.

Bush has Yamamoto pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Bush pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Yamamoto tumbling to the mat - Bush dives into Yamamoto's guard.

Yamamoto is fighting off a takedown attempt but Bush is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Yamamoto to the mat. Yamamoto regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Well Bush has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
