Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shane Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stewie Dent (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Shane Silva!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Stewie Dent!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Alyssa Summers and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva tries to clinch there but Dent circles away.
Dent forces Silva back against the cage and clinches.
Silva is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Dent is defending well for now.
Dent tightens his grip and picks Silva up, before dumping him to the ground. Silva manages to land in guard.
Dent has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Silva is proving hard to escape from.
Dent sitting in guard, not really doing much.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Stewie Dent wasn't active enough on the ground.
Silva ducks under a wild hook from Dent.
Silva closes the distance but Dent moves to the side
and Dent counters with a stiff right hand.
Dent tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Silva was well out of range. Poor timing from Dent.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Silva tries to clinch but Dent moves away
and Dent counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Silva scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Dent connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Dent thows a left - swing and a miss!
Silva drives through and clinches with Dent against the cage.
Dent avoids a wild elbow strike from Silva.
Silva misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Silva pushes Dent back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Dent is trying to drag Silva to the mat but Silva just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Silva comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
It looks like Stewie Dent has been cut.
Silva is pressed up against the cage. Dent has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Silva down to the mat. Silva avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Dent tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Silva was well out of range. Poor timing from Dent.
Silva tries to clinch up
and Dent cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Silva wants to clinch
and Dent counters with a stiff right hand.
Dent missing with a left hand there. Silva was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Silva tries to clinch there but Dent circles away.
Decent striking displayed by Dent there.
Silva moves to clinch but Dent breaks away
and Dent counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Silva is rocked!
Dent works Silva's body with a nice hook.
Oh Silva is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Dent takes a swing at Silva's ribcage but misses.
Silva seems to have got his legs back now.
Silva wants to clinch but Dent slips to the side
and Dent makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Silva is breathing heavily.
Silva uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Dent.
Silva staying out of range there.
Silva tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Dent counters with a nice uppercut.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Silva tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Dent counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Dent slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Stewie Dent.
Silva looks to clinch
and Dent counters with a nice uppercut.
Silva finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Silva's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Dent connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Silva scrambles back to his feet.
Silva darts in trying to clinch
and Dent scores with a counter punch that sends Silva to the canvas! Dent smells blood - he's punishing Silva with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Silva has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Stewie Dent!
