The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Unit looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Unit fails with the takedown

and Ryan counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Unit!
Ryan throws some wild stikes that Unit manages to avoid easily.
Ryan looking to finish Unit with some ground and pound. This is bad for Unit!

Unit defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Ryan.
Ryan working away from the top, dropping strikes.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Ryan punching from mount but Unit doing a good job of avoiding damage.

Ryan throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

Unit wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Ryan.

Ryan unloads with some shots from mount but Unit bucks and avoids them well.

Ryan has control of Unit's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Unit regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Ryan takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Ryan working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Unit turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Ryan off and cradles Unit's limp body as Ryan celebrates with his corner.
