The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Crusher fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Pompies sprawls well initially but Crusher persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Crusher looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Pompies is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Crusher's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Crusher's back!
Will Pompies go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?

Pompies is looking for the choke from the back position but Crusher is controlling his hands well.

Pompies looking to break Crusher's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Crusher remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Pompies will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!
Pompies is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.

Pompies lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by Pompies.
Crusher is covering up but some of the strikes from Pompies are getting through and doing damage.
Crusher grimaces as he takes a shot to the body.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Pompies is really struggling to control Crusher but he's trying to hold on to the position.

Pompies has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Crusher! Can he survive? No! He's out! Pompies gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
