The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Du Rand shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Noons napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Du Rand wants to lay and pray for a moment but Noons keeps working.
Du Rand has knee on belly and moves into mount.
You get the feeling that Noons really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Noons has given up his back, trying to stand up. Not clever.
Noons looks gassed!
Du Rand wants to control but Noons is keeping busy.
Du Rand punches Noons on the ear.
Du Rand has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Noons is trying to stand back up.

Du Rand is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Noons has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Du Rand has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Noons taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Du Rand doesn't care though - he's delighted!
