Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Maia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wes Miles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Miles has chosen Kings of Leon - Closer as his entrance music. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Miles throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Maia tries to score a power double leg takedown but Miles sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Maia somewhat.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Maia crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Miles - the referee stops the clock and Maia gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Miles. Maia manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Maia fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Miles looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Miles throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Maia ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Miles moves away.
Daniel Maia seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Maia lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Miles has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Miles and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Maia sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

Miles tries to throw a body punch but Maia avoids it by throwing Miles back against the cage.

Wes Miles is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Well Miles has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
