The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Leandro Rodrigues and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brown throws a nice looking combination but Fernandes bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Fernandes throws out a leg kick but Brown moves out of range and Fernandes only half commits.
Brown checks the leg kick.
Brown takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
It looks like Mark Brown has been cut.
Brown misses with a leg kick
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Fernandes misses with a low kick.
Brown uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Fernandes.
Brown shoots in but no luck this time.
Brown on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Fernandes throws a hook to the side of Brown's head but Brown sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
A lazy left from Fernandes finds it's target.
Brown shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Fernandes defends it nicely.
Brown looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Fernandes is fending him off so far but Brown persists. Nope, Fernandes circles away and we're back to standing.

Fernandes lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Brown. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Brown throws a series of punches but Fernandes avoids them all with ease.

Fernandes fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Brown has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Fernandes avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Brown is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.

Brown has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Fernandes.

Fernandes dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Brown. That did some damage!

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Fernandes fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Brown manages to avoid it.
Fernandes dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

and Fernandes counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Brown! He's just covering up as Fernandes starts to tee off till referee steps in and stops the fight!
