Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ricardo Carvalho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bill Gates (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carvalho comes to the cage accompanied by THE CONTENDER. Bill Gates is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Matheus Silva and Edson Gomes.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carvalho shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Gates pinned against the cage. Gates gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Gates lands a slapping body shot.
A punch combination from Gates misses.

Gates moves into the clinch.
Gates wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Carvalho has him pressed against the cage.
Carvalho blocks an uppercut.
Carvalho wants a takedown.
Carvalho wants a takedown but no success here.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ricardo Carvalho. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Gates can't break the clinch.
Gates has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Carvalho avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Gates manages to break the clinch.
Carvalho has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
No joy there for Gates, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Gates throws a right and a left that both miss.
Nice takedown defense from Gates. No joy for Carvalho on that attempt.

Carvalho moves into range and clinches up with Gates.

Gates breaks from the clinch.
Gates lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

Gates fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Carvalho, pushing him back against the cage.
Gates can't find room to land a body shot as Carvalho controls the action.
Carvalho blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Carvalho is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Gates gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Gates manages to break the clinch.
Gates misses with a series of wild punches.
Carvalho closes the distance and clinches up with Gates, looking for a takedown. Carvalho pushes Gates against the cage but Gates circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Carvalho is breathing heavily.
Gates tries to clinch up but Carvalho circles away and keeps his distance.
Carvalho shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Gates as he jumps to the side.

Carvalho is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Gates.
Carvalho takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Gates comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Gates displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.

Carvalho is rocked!
Carvalho shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Gates but Gates pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Oh Carvalho is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Gates lands a nice hook to Carvalho's body. Carvalho takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Gates misses with a wild combination.
Gates throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Carvalho changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Gates tries to avoid it but Carvalho manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Gates to the ground. Gates escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Carvalho shoots in but Gates avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Carvalho seems to have got his legs back now.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Gates prevents a takedown attempt there.
Carvalho can't get the takedown.
Carvalho wants a takedown but no success here.
Gates throws a head punch that misses.
Gates stops a takedown attempt from Carvalho.
Gates gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Carvalho.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Gates breaks the clinch.
Gates lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Gates is working the combinations to good effect here.
Gates throws a combination. Carvalho tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Gates moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Carvalho shoots in looking for a takedown. Gates tries to sprawl out of it but Carvalho keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Gates manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Gates lands with a right that hurts Carvalho. Carvalho looks to clinch but Gates throws a short knee that drops Carvalho. This one is all over!
